About a decade ago, I was stuck at a dull advertising agency dreaming of something more meaningful. A friend of mine brought me on to my first wedding shoot, then I was hooked.
I found a deep passion for creating films centered around a single day; a day considered by most to be the most important day of their lives.
After filming hundreds of weddings across the country, I decided to take the leap and open up my own wedding film studio. I have the privilege to create something truly transformational in your lives with the films that I make while being filled with an energy I’ve never experienced elsewhere.
Beyond the technical skills and creative vision, I want to leave you with a film that becomes more precious every year - a legacy that connects generations.

Complete Chronological Legacy | 30 - 60 Minutes
The Documentary Film is your complete wedding day story told chronologically from bridal preparations to grand exit—every moment, every laugh, every tear preserved exactly as it happened. This comprehensive edit includes your full ceremony with professional audio and multiple camera angles, complete toasts, formal dances, and all the candid moments in between, creating the ultimate family heirloom that captures not just highlights, but the full emotional journey of your day.
Think of it as your wedding day time capsule—the film your children and grandchildren will treasure, where they can experience your entire celebration and hear every word spoken.

Every Moment - Captured Perfectly
Unfortunately, not every clip or everything said makes it into your finished film. This is why I give all my couples the option to purchase raw footage directly from me. By purchasing raw footage, you will receive every unedited clip from your wedding day and all the audio files from your vows, wedding ceremony, and toasts.
Couples can mail a recommended portable drive directly to JoVan Films, or a personalized drive can be used for an additional fee. Your footage will be organized into categories and audio files will be labeled for each heartfelt moment. Finally, your finished film and any other deliverables will be added to your drive in their own folder for you and your family to enjoy for decades to come.

Do you travel?
Absolutely. My filmmaking kit is built for the open road and skies. Domestic travel is available, and international travel varies by country.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
All travel fees are included with the pricing listed here. Please note that JoVan Films reserves all travel accommodates required, including lodging, airfare, meals, vehicle, gas, etc.
How long until we can see our film?
The turnaround time for wedding films filmed between November and June is 120 days, and 180 days for weddings filmed between July - October.
What happens if an emergency happens and you won't be able to film our wedding?
One thing I pride myself on is the vendor relationships I have built over the years. Because of this, I'm confident that I can find you a skilled professional who will take over for me.
How do you accept payment?
You can pay via bank transfer or credit card, or you can pay by check to avoid a small processing fee. A 33% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date, and the full payment is due one month before your wedding.
