You love the kind of days that start with coffee, end with tired legs, and leave you thinking, “I wish we could live that again.”
You feel most like yourselves outside, moving through the world together. Not performing. Not hosting. Not doing things because they appear good to others.
You’re looking for a unique, intimate way to get married that actually reflects your relationship and the life you’re building. A day shaped around your shared rhythms, your comfort, your people (or no people), and the landscapes that hold meaning for you.
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
YOU WANT AN ELOPEMENT THAT FEELS CLEAR, GROUNDED, AND TRUE
You want to show up as your full self without the stress, without the “what are we supposed to do next?” feeling, and without turning your wedding into a production.
You want an experience you can step back into years from now.
I get you.
And I’ll help you build a day where you can actually breathe.
You decided you don’t want…
- A wedding day that feels like a schedule you’re sprinting to keep up with
- A day planned around everyone else’s expectations
- To share your vows in front of a crowd if that doesn’t feel like you
- To spend your wedding managing logistics instead of being present
Your wedding day feels more like this…
- A day that reflects your relationship from start to finish
- Space to move slowly, take it in, and actually feel what’s happening
- A plan that supports you, not one that squeezes you
- A ceremony that can be private or shared with up to 30 guests
- The freedom to do what you want, in a way that feels right
Most importantly, you get to be together, fully in it.
MEET YOUR WASHINGTON ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER + FILMMAKER
Hey, I’m JoVan.
If you want an intentional elopement or intimate wedding in Seattle, Washington State, or somewhere out in the PNW, I’m here to help you create it, document it, and remember it with clarity.
The best parts of a wedding day are not the big staged moments.
They’re the real ones: the quiet looks, the shaky laughs, the breath you take before you speak, the way your hands find each other without thinking.
I photograph and film elopements for couples who care about experience and connection. I’ll guide you through the planning process, reduce your stress, and I’ll document your day in a way that feels honest to how it actually felt to live it.
Washington is home base, but if your plans pull you farther, I’m open to travel.
My Brand values
I. Love is Love.
You don’t have to explain your relationship to me, and you will never be asked to shrink yourselves to make anyone else comfortable. Representation matters, and I treat your love with the same care, dignity, and attention as any other.
II. Leave no Trace (Always).
We plan your day with stewardship in mind: low-impact locations, respectful pacing, and choices that protect the landscapes you’re trusting us with. This includes following local guidelines and keeping Washington wild for the next people who need it.
III. The Outdoors are for Everyone
I’m committed to building elopement experiences that are welcoming and accessible, not gatekept by “outdoorsy” culture or a specific look, ability, budget, or background. We’ll choose locations and logistics that fit your real life.
IV. Your day, your way.
I’m here for couples who want to step away from expectations and build something that actually reflects them, whether that’s private vows, a small circle of up to 30, a city-to-mountains timeline, or something in between. I’ll advocate for what matters to you, even when tradition gets loud.
V. CALM, CAPABLE SUPPORT.
My job is to reduce stress, not add to it, so you can stay present while I handle the moving pieces. That means location scouting, timeline building, permit guidance, vendor recommendations, Leave No Trace guidance, and marriage license steps.
IV. RELATIONSHIP FIRST STORYTELLING.
I document what’s real, not what’s performative, and I’m always paying attention to the in-between moments you’ll want to remember. I also believe some moments deserve to stay sacred, not staged or over-explained.
WHAT DOES ELOPING ACTUALLY MEAN?
Eloping doesn’t have to mean running off with no plan. It can be as thoughtful, meaningful, and full as you want it to be.
It can look like a full day together in Washington: slow morning, private vows, a hike or a ferry ride, a meal you’ll remember, a few people who really know you, a place that makes you feel something.
Elopements are simply weddings that center the couple, the experience, and the meaning.
I'M HERE TO MAKE YOUR DAY FEEL SIMPLE AND SUPPORTED.

You Want Photos and a Film that Feels Like You
You want to receive your gallery and film and recognize yourselves immediately. Not a version of you that feels posed, stiff, or like you’re acting out someone else’s idea of romance.
If being in front of the camera makes you nervous, that’s normal. I was the exact same way when I got married.
Through calm direction and real prompts (not performance), you will:
- Never wonder what to do with your hands
- Know what’s happening next without feeling rushed
- Get space for candid moments without feeling abandoned
- Feel comfortable enough for real reactions to show up
- Walk away with images and a film you’ll keep returning to
A Full-Day Elopement Experience
(without the rush)
Most couples don’t get many days like this: a day built around being together, doing something meaningful, in a place that makes you feel awake.
This is why I love full-day coverage. Not because more hours is “more content,” but because it gives you room for:
- slow mornings
- privacy
- weather shifts
- multiple locations
- time to eat, breathe, and actually be present
Customized Seattle + Washington Elopement Packages
This is not "one-size-fits-all"
- Want a sunrise ceremony and a quiet dinner after? Great.
- Want to include family for a short ceremony, then disappear into the woods together? Also great.
- Want a city-based Seattle elopement with intentional portraits and a meaningful place to celebrate after? Absolutely.
Your day can be structured, spontaneous, or somewhere in between. We’ll build it around what matters to you.
